 A Family History of Entrepreneurs

Christina was instilled with the foundation of a successful work ethic since she was a child. She watched her father build and succeed his import and export textile company since she was 6 years old. During this time, her father taught her the basics of the trade believing Christina would continue in his footsteps and flourish as a businesswoman. Business industry runs in her family. Not only was her father being a very successful businessman, her great grandfather was also a very wealthy businessman who left his legacy by founding an Academy in South Korea. Prior to founding the Academy, he was a promoter of Korea Defense Agency who supported Japanese Military and Airplane financially when the Sino Japanese War had broken out. In 1920, he founded a very successful mining company and had invested in various of fields such as financial trusts, catering, manufacturing, and commerce. In 1934, he showed a great interest in education so he put his work into school business and in 1938, he founded Won Suk Academy. From a rich line of family success, Christina decided to follow familial footsteps as a business entrepreneur.

Unique Experiences have Shaped Her Life

Christina was born in Los Angeles, California with both Koreas descents. The oldest in the family, Christina dealt with parents’ different cultural beliefs. Because her parents carried an old Korean tradition, Christina was enrolled in a Korean Preschool. At age 6, to pursue her careers and future, she had to put her parents’ strict tradition behind to realize who she was as a young child with a dream and voice. At age 6, Christina had a huge ear operation and during this struggle, her parents transferred her into a private school. After several ear surgeries, Christina faced a hearing loss but the challenges never stopped her. Christina continued to use her vision to pursue studies in design educations. She studied Fashion at Otis College of Art and Design then transferred to study Product Design at Art Center College of Design. Using her two talented hands she wanted to further her design education into Pâtisserie at Le Cordon Bleu of Los Angeles-Hollywood, California. Christina never gives up. Christina will fight any challenges until she wins.
